Sara Seims is the director of the Population Program at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Previously, she was president of the Alan Guttmacher Institute and associate director of population sciences at the Rockefeller Foundation in New York. Dr. Seims has served as a member of the board of the Nairobi-based Africa Population and Health Research Center, as a member of the board of directors of Management Sciences for Health in Boston, and deputy chief of two divisions of the United States Agency for International Development. She is currently a member of the board of directors of the National Aids Fund, and the Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy; chair of the development committee of the Population Association of America; and a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine.
