Katherine Scott, Vice-President, Research
Canadian Council on Social Development

Katherine Scott is the vice president of research with the Canadian Council on Social Development in Ottawa, where she has worked since 1995. She has also worked in government, academia, and with other research organizations on issues of social and economic inclusion as they affect women, children, and families. She has written numerous books and articles, most recently Urban Poverty Project 2007, with Gail Fawcett, a series of analytical reports and data tables. She is a co-author of Growing up in North America: The Economic Well-being of Children in Canada, the United States and Mexico. She holds degrees in political science from Queen’s University and York University.
