Carl Haub holds the Conrad Taeuber Chair of Population Information at PRB. A specialist in the compilation and analysis of demographic data and dissemination, Mr. Haub has been with PRB since 1979. He has written numerous articles for publication in journals and the general press on a broad range of topics. Most noteworthy among his many published works is the World Population Data Sheet, which has an annual circulation of more than 100,000, and which he has authored since 1980. A recognized expert in the field, he has compiled over 100 data sheets in the last 30 years, many of which were produced in multiple languages. Haub specializes in demography and health in India, a country to which he traveled since 1994, where he has worked on demographic projects and presentations. He has also worked in Belarus, Costa Rica, Germany, Honduras, India, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Seychelles, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, Vietnam, and Zambia, He holds a B.A. in political science and a M.A. in demography from Georgetown University.
